Welcome
to Masseria Canestrello,
the gate of Apulia and Basilicata.

Masseria
Canestrello
Masseria Canestrello is located at the Northern entrance
of Apulia and Basilicata, near the bank of the river Ofanto that
marks the border between the two regions. Your vacation begins here,
in the land of great open space and wheat cultivation.
Masseria Canestrello Bed & Breakfast is easy to reach:
"Autostrada" A 16, Candela exit, is minutes away, Naples
or Bari are just one hour drive.
The former estate, built along an old sheep track, was in fact,
until last century, a sheep farm. Today, Masseria Canestrello is
devoted to the cultivation of the famous "grano duro"
(semolina) of Apulia.
The guest rooms are comfortable
and elegant and the common spaces
large and welcoming. Outside, there are groves of fruit and olive
trees and a beautiful swimming pool.
The Canestrello Bed and Breakfast is located in the midst of a fascinating
area.
The Subappennine Dauno, the Basilicata
region and the city of Melfi, Lagopesole
and Venosa are al near at hand. The
national park of Gargano and its forests,
the sea and the beaches are all easily accessible, as are the rich
artistic centers of Bovino, Troia, Lucera
and, on the Adriatic coast, Trani, Barletta
and Castel del Monte.
